Outrage Erupts Over Nigeria's National Anthem Change

Some Nigerians have expressed outrage after the country's national anthem was changed with little consultation. President Bola Tinubu signed a bill on Wednesday to revert to Nigeria’s old national anthem, which was replaced by a military government in 1978. The newly re-adopted anthem, "Nigeria, We Hail Thee," was written by Lillian Jean Williams in 1959 and composed by Frances Berda. Speaking on his first anniversary in office, President Tinubu said the anthem symbolizes Nigeria's diversity. However, many have questioned his priorities amid the cost-of-living crisis. Reacting online, some Nigerians said the country had more pressing problems such as insecurity, rising inflation, and a foreign exchange crisis. X user @Gospel_rxx posted: “A new national anthem is the priority for Tinubu & Co at a time like this? When our people can't eat, insecurity is rife & life is hell? What a sordid joke! Let's see how they implement it...” Another X user, Fola F

Most Anonymous Cryptocurrency

In the 21st century, individuals are increasingly cautious in their activities. Many investors prefer anonymous cryptocurrencies because they protect personal data from third parties.   Privacy Concept Cash is the traditional equivalent of confidential transactions. When people withdraw cash from ATMs, the withdrawal is recorded, but subsequent use of the cash remains private. Similarly, anonymous cryptocurrencies ensure transaction privacy after funds are deposited into an electronic wallet. Regular cryptocurrency exchanges require identity verification, allowing altcoins to be tracked and expenses analyzed. In contrast, anonymous cryptocurrencies prevent tracking fund distributions after deposit. Users can also convert these assets into fiat currency. Specifics of Pseudo-Anonymous Cryptocurrencies These cryptocurrencies reveal the identity of the currency owners, but the financial transactions remain transparent and traceable. To avoid identity linkage, experts recommend using a n

Binance executive collapses during Nigeria trial for money laundering

Gambaryan missed a court appearance for tax evasion charges but attended a money laundering trial on the same day.   Tigran Gambaryan, a Binance executive currently detained in Nigeria, collapsed in the Federal High Court in Abuja during his trial for alleged foreign exchange violations and money laundering offenses brought by the Nigerian Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). According to local media, Gambaryan’s legal representative, Mark Mordi, informed the court on May 22 that his client had been unwell since the previous trial date and was still experiencing health issues. Gambaryan had previously missed a court appearance for a separate arraignment on tax evasion charges brought by the Nigerian Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). However, he did attend court for the money laundering charges. During the money laundering court proceedings, the court registrar called the case, but Gambaryan failed to respond and remained seated in the back row. Judge Emeka Nwite, noti

Nigerian court adjourns Binance, executives' tax evasion trial to June 14

A Nigerian court has postponed the tax evasion case against Binance to next month, awaiting the potential arraignment of the cryptocurrency exchange and two of its executives. The trial stalled on Wednesday due to the absence of Tigran Gambaryan, Binance's head of financial crime compliance, who is a U.S. citizen. The authorities did not provide a reason for his absence. Last Friday, an Abuja court ruled that Gambaryan could be tried in the tax evasion case representing Binance. Binance CEO Richard Teng has criticized Nigeria for what he describes as a dangerous precedent after the detention of its executives during a visit to the country. Binance is disputing the charges of tax evasion and money laundering. Binance, along with Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla, Binance's regional manager for Africa, face four charges of tax evasion, including failing to register with Nigeria's Federal Inland Revenue Service. Anjarwalla, a British-Kenyan, escaped custody in March but remain

These limitations create challenges for advertisers and deprive publishers of a legitimate income source. Publishers who produce high-quality crypto content and generate significant traffic find their efforts unmonetized without advertisers. Conversely, advertisers miss the opportunity to reach a targeted audience that would engage with their ads. Crypto ad networks address this issue by providing a platform where crypto advertisers and publishers can benefit mutually. What Is a Crypto Ad Network?
